Step 1: Learn to Use the Maps

We recommend looking at the following prior to launching a map:

      Step 2: Launch the Map

    This site uses the Geocortex IMF Map Viewer.

    Quick Start:

    1. On the right side of the screen, check the imagery of interest (e.g., Kodiak; flight line fix marks now appear) and also highlight the info tag () turn the layer on (info button should be dark blue now ).
    2. Using the magnifier tool ( ) on the left side of the screen, zoom in to a selected location of the map. Repeat to zoom in further.
    3. Click on the animation tool ( ) in the top, middle of the map and then use this tool to click on your starting point for your flight.
    4. Fasten your seat belt.
    5. The starting image and little VCR control should have appeared on the right of your screen. Click on the play button ( ) to start your flight; use the nearby speed buttons to adjust your flight speed to your age.
    6. When you stop the imagery (using the stop or pause button) and click on the nearby magnifier ( ) to show a larger image (not all the images have been loaded but most have).
    7. Enjoy.

    Note: If you use anti-popup software, we recommend that you temporarily disable
    it while you use this site.
